Q: Are the seats in the theatre assigned?
A: If you require wheelchair accessible seating, please mention it during booking and we will reserve accessible seating for you. Otherwise, we do not assign seats. We have festival-style seating for our shows but there is not a bad seat in the house! The stage is on the ground level and the seats rise so audiences are looking down to the stage instead of up – no view-blocking!
Q: What accommodations do you offer for people with disabilities?
A: The Knutzen Family Theatre is wheelchair accessible, although the larger building that it is a part of, the Dumas Bay Center, does not have automatic doors at the main entrance. Our welcome team will be standing by to assist if necessary. Once inside the theatre, we do have wheelchair accessible seating. Please let us know during booking if you require this accessible seating and we will reserve it.
While we work closely with National Disability Theatre and We Rock the Spectrum Federal Way to sometimes offer sensory friendly/relaxed performances, people with any and all disabilities are warmly welcome at all Centerstage programming: performances, classes… any programming we offer. If you wish, you are welcome to contact us ahead of time about your specific access needs. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (253) 661-1444.
