26/27 Season
We know our plays this season will bring you joy, discovery, and perhaps even a few new ideas. But every one of them also resonates with themes of belonging. Of community. Of building a chosen family. Of creating more of the type of world that we want to see around us.
There’s a saying, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.” We believe that community is essential to achieving the bigger things we hope for as humans. And we believe theatre is an agent of change, because theatre builds community, and community transforms.
There is something incredibly special about a moment of shared emotion with those around us; whether that’s a laugh, frightened jump, or a collective realization. And absolutely nothing in the world brings this feeling in the way that live theatre does. Each time we experience those moments together, we strengthen the bonds we have with each other as people, as neighbors, as family…as a community. We inch a little bit closer to a better world. One where we are in tune with the needs and feelings of those around us.
